Job Description

Due to our clients rapid global expansion, they are seeking a talented Channel Sales Manager to join our growing team based in Tokyo, Japan.

About the Role

As a Channel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing business strategies with our partners who deliver our client’s solutions and services. In this role, you’ll work closely with partners to manage sales funnels and pipelines, ensuring they have all the support they need to achieve shared goals.

The ideal candidate will be technically proficient and adept at handling customer queries. We’re looking for someone with solid channel sales experience, a strong track record in managing client relationships, and a history of consistently meeting revenue targets.

Location

This position is based in our clients Tokyo office. The Channel Sales Manager will oversee sales operations with our large clients, and the role includes extensive travel, as you’ll spend around 50% of your time embedded with clients.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Planning

  • Meet revenue and margin targets from new customers on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Develop and maintain detailed account development plans.
    Collaborate with marketing and other internal teams to proactively identify and target potential clients.
  • Design tailored sales approaches for specific customer accounts.
  • Build and sustain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts by efficiently progressing sales opportunities.
  • Keep internal systems and contact records updated with ongoing progress.

Partner Relationships & Satisfaction

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective partners.
  • Promote and facilitate the sale of additional services to or through partners.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of partner objectives and relevant personnel.
    Set and manage customer expectations throughout the sales process and contract.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure partner expectations are met.
  • Advocate on behalf of the customer as required.

Product and Sales Expertise

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of key products and technologies relevant to our services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments.
  • Effectively communicate the business advantages of our products and services to customers and colleagues.
  • Contribute insights and expertise to brand and marketing activities as needed.
  • Mentor and advise other sales colleagues to support their development and successful opportunity closures.
Person Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Substantial experience in channel sales, with demonstrated success in partner relationships.
  • Proven ability to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Experience within a SaaS framework, specifically Cloud, Ai, Unified Comms, is advantageous.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with strengths in influencing and negotiating.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record of building and sustaining client relationships.
