Our client, a leading global technology company experiencing rapid international growth, is currently seeking an experienced Channel Sales Manager to join their Tokyo-based team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing and executing channel strategies across the Asia-Pacific region.
About the Role
As Channel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing partner-led business plans to accelerate the adoption of our client’s award-winning cloud communications solutions. You will work closely with key partners to manage pipelines, support revenue growth, and ensure alignment with business goals.
This role will require a high degree of travel, with up to 50% of your time spent embedded with client and partner teams across the region.
Please note: Candidates must be able to demonstrate proof of eligibility to work in Japan and have minimum N2-level fluency in Japanese.

Key Responsibilities
Partner Planning & Execution
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and margin targets.
- Develop strategic account development plans with partners.
- Drive demand generation in collaboration with marketing and internal stakeholders.
- Build tailored sales strategies for individual customer accounts.
- Maintain and report on sales pipelines and forecasts.
- Ensure CRM and internal systems are kept current.
Partner Relationship Management
- Build strong, consultative relationships with new and existing partners.
- Promote and enable the sale of complementary services via the channel.
- Gain deep insight into partner structures, goals, and key contacts.
- Manage expectations through the full sales and delivery lifecycle.
- Serve as the main point of escalation to ensure satisfaction and issue resolution.
Sales Enablement & Product Expertise
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of product offerings, especially within cloud-based customer engagement and CCaaS solutions.
- Stay current on industry trends and market shifts.
- Clearly articulate the value proposition of products and services.
- Support brand and marketing activities with thought leadership and content where appropriate.
- Mentor junior sales team members on best practices and deal progression.
Person Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area.
- Extensive experience in channel sales and partner management, ideally within a SaaS or CCaaS environment.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving partner-led growth.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Fluent in Japanese (minimum N2) and proficient in English.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the region and be embedded on client sites.
