Role Overview: IT Project Manager
Project Manager to join their growing team in Glasgow.
As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing small to medium-sized projects using the company’s established project methodology. Your goal will be to deliver projects that meet customer expectations and are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
You will also play a key role in supporting the sales team by transitioning customer orders into active projects. Your ability to balance quick, cost-effective, and customer-oriented delivery will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery:
- Initiate projects using the appropriate project management methodology and develop relevant project documentation.
- Ensure projects meet the customer’s expectations in terms of performance, cost, and quality, and are delivered within agreed tolerances.
- Maintain high-quality documentation for all project phases and ensure all deliverables meet client performance and quality standards.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive test plan aligned with customer requirements.
- Manage virtual project teams to ensure effective project execution.
Process Management and Improvement:
- Monitor key project milestones and ensure projects progress through delivery stages according to plan.
- Implement risk management, issue logging, and change control processes during the project initiation stage.
- Keep internal systems and reporting tools updated to reflect the current project status.
- Conduct post-project debriefs to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions that benefit the project team, the business, and customers.
Experience Required
- PRINCE2 certification or equivalent project management training.
- ITIL foundation certification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience managing IT projects, ideally in SaaS, Cloud, Telecoms, Unified Communications, or Managed Services.
- Strong knowledge of both public and private sector project management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage virtual teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
